Dr. Nesrin Gündoğan Üzer

Dr. Nesrin Gündoğan Üzer is a graduate of Middle East Technical University, Department of International Relations. She graduated from University of Birmingham with a Master's degree in European Studies in 2004, and completed her PhD at the Middle East Technical University, Department of International Relations in 2023.

Dr. Gündoğan Üzer started her career as an Assistant Foreign Trade Specialist at the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade in 2005 and served as a Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bangkok between 2011 and 2015.

Dr. Gündoğan Üzer is the Head of Department of EU Technical Legislation Department at the Ministry of Trade, Directorate General of Product Safety and Inspection.

She is responsible for directing the implementation of Product Safety and Technical Regulations Law No. 7223, and its Implementing Regulations. She is also responsible for coordinating Türkiye’s compliance with the technical legislation of the European Union within the framework of the Customs Union. Her current working topics includes green transformation in product safety, sustainability, smart products and digitalization.
